AHRENSBURG, Germany, Nov. 28, 2018 — USB 3.0 CamerasFour new ace U USB 3.0 camera models from Basler AG feature resolutions of VGA and 1.6 MP.

The cameras are equipped with the IMX287 and IMX273 sensors from Sony’s Pregius series and deliver up to 525 fps. The IMX273 sensor offers high image quality, high speeds, and low noise. The IMX287 sensor features twice the pixel size with an edge length of 6.9 µm, resulting in an increased saturation capacity and a higher dynamic range with the same sensitivity and also low noise. They also include the PGI feature set, a unique combination of 5 × 5 debayering, color antialiasing, denoising, and improved sharpness.

Both sensors feature an Ultra Short Exposure Time Mode, which enables extremely short exposure times of up to 1 µs. The cameras are particularly suited for applications with fast movement, such as in the print sector. The four ace U models are also suited as upgrades for CCD cameras with low resolutions.
