The smart 2D profile sensors of the OX series from Baumer are made for positioning and inspection tasks in assembly and handling. With the ability to set parameters of the device through a web interface, the sensors are precise up to 5 µm. The profile sensors can be used wherever OK/NOK inspections or positioning tasks are possible via the evaluation of height information and can be connected with just one cable due to the addition of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). The series is suitable for height checks of assembly parts and control and positioning tasks in robotics.
