SWIR Imaging PackageChromasens GmbH has announced a SWIR imaging package that includes its allPIXA SWIR line scan camera and the Corona II dark field illumination system with short-wave LEDs.

Available with either GigE Vision or Camera Link interfaces, the camera leverages an uncooled InGaAs sensor with 1k resolution and 12.5-μm pixel size for high resolution, high sensitivity, and a line rate of 40 kHz. The dark field illumination module offers a selection of LEDs in the dedicated wavelength in either 1100, 1350, 1450, or 1550 nm, reducing the need for software adjustments. This module also emits far less heat than standard halogen light sources and lets machine builders avoid the hassles of x-ray technology.

The fully integrated solution can be used in machine vision applications for inspection, sorting, and quality control, as well as in surveillance and remote sensing.
