Lightning-Fast 8-Channel Illumination
The CoolLED pE-800 LED Illumination System has seen LEDs take center stage as the widefield illumination method of choice, owing to stability, flexibility and high-speed control – amongst other benefits.
Fluorescence freedom: Eight powerful LEDs offer broad spectral coverage from 365-740 nm for use with fluorophores ranging from DAPI to Cy7.
Optimized experiments with superior control: All eight channels can be controlled individually via digital, analogue or software (USB 2.0). Users can benefit from full integration in third-party programs such as Nikon NIS Elements, while the intuitive CoolLED LightBridge also offers comprehensive control options.
Ideal for live cell imaging: Industry-leading <7 µs TTL triggering is a breakthrough for capturing high-speed events in unprecedented detail. Precise hardware synchronization for each channel alongside the ability to fit inline excitation filters overcomes the latency restrictions of mechanical movement when used alongside multi-band filter sets.
Affordable automation: When combined with the unique 8-channel Sequence Runner, illumination sequences can be triggered with a single TTL out of a camera, transforming a manual microscope into an affordable and powerful eight-channel automated imaging system.
Protecting your samples: Phototoxicity and photobleaching can easily be minimized by <7 µs TTL hardware synchronization and fine irradiance control from 0-2% and then in 1% steps to 100%.
For calcium imaging and beyond: Following the phenomenal success of the pE-800, CoolLED is expanding this ground-breaking technology for scientists involved in calcium imaging and other applications. LEDs will be tailored to suit the most popular calcium imaging indicators, including Fura-2, GCaMP and Fluo-4. The pE-800fura will be more than a calcium imaging light source, and will also handle pH imaging, FRET and ratiometric fluorescence applications, as well as everyday fluorescence. More information will be available soon.
