Coatings for Highly Curved OpticsCoating highly curved optics is challenging for most thin-film deposition processes. In typical coating methods, curved parts become more thickly coated at their centers and thinner at their edges. To address this challenge, DSI developed IsoDyn, a chemical vapor deposition process that uniformly deposits antireflection coatings on highly curved optics such as domes, cylindrical lenses, and ball lenses.
