Founded in 1983, Epolin is the recognized leader in near-infrared absorbing dyes, coatings, and thermoplastic compounds. The development and manufacture of our materials add premium performance to laser and welding eyewear, security inks, light filters, touchscreens, and night-vision products.
NIR and Visible Absorbing Dyes: for Solventborne Coatings, Thermoplastics and Epoxy
Laser Absorbing Compounds: Epolin can provide Epolight™ dyes or Luminate™ pellets that are designed for blocking specific laser wavelengths. We can meet the Absorbance or Optical Density requirements for one or more laser wavelengths while maximizing the Visible Light Transmittance of your thermoplastic lens or window.
Visible Opaque Dyes: for Solventborne Coatings, Thermoplastics and Epoxy
NIR Coatings: Epolin offers
SPECTRE™ solvent screen inks for near infrared (NIR) transmitting or blocking applications. These applications include remote control systems, IR ports, proximity sensors, night vision, touch screens, machine vision, bar codes and electronic devices.
SPECTRE™ screen inks can be printed on PET, Polycarbonate, PVC and glass substrates.
Formulated Dye Pellets: Epolight™ dyes are compounded into acrylic, polycarbonate, and cellulose propionate to make Luminate™ thermoplastic pellets. Epolin will formulate a compound to meet your optical density or light transmission specifications and offers information for successful processing of injection-molded parts or extruded film. Epolin can supply both developmental and production quantities of Luminate™ pellets.
