Surface-Mount DetectorThe PYD 2592 SMD surface-mount DigiPyro® detector from Excelitas Technologies Corp. features two standard elements in parallel connection, designed in a compact, 5×7-mm housing with optical window.

The detector enables a wide field-of-view to allow the flexibility required for complex motion detection applications including safety and security, smart home, Internet of Things, and auto lighting. Designed for a range of operational voltages, the detector is compatible with TO-DigiPyro detectors and can facilitate standard printed circuit board assembly processing and handling.

The PYD 2592 can be additionally parameter configured for bandpass and threshold, and it supports the sleep/wake-up function to the linked µP/MCU.
