Low-capacitance InGaAs PIN PhotodiodesLow-capacitance InGaAs PIN Photodiodes from Excelitas Technologies Corp. are designed for commercial and military lidar, laser range finding, laser warning, and laser spot tracking applications.

The C30619GH-LC, C30641GH-LC, C30642GH-LC, and C30665GH-LC models provide high quantum efficiency from 800 to 1700 nm and feature a special ultralow capacitance of only half the standard type capacitance, therefore exhibiting twice the 3-dB bandwidth, high responsivity, high shunt resistance, and low dark current.

The devices’ low capacitance enables extended bandwidth while maintaining better than 1% nonlinearity and uniformity within 2% across the detector active area.
