Inprentus designs, manufactures, and sells ultrahigh-precision diffraction gratings manufactured using an innovative nano-scale contact mode lithography technology. This technology is a general-purpose approach to high-precision patterning of optical component surfaces in which features must be shaped with 0.1-degree angular precision and positioned with nanometer accuracy over distances of tens of centimeters.

Products from Inprentus are used at national synchrotron radiation facilities around the world in a variety of spectrometer and monochromator applications. Broader applications of the technology will include free electron lasers, commercial spectroscopy equipment components, astronomy, and laser optics used in manufacturing applications.
