LaseReflect® Aviator LRG13 glasses for a new low price of $219 (USD).
New data from the FAA shows a near doubling of reported laser pointer incidents in the USA to nearly 20 per day in 2015 increasing the need for an affordable and effective solution to mitigate the effects of these attacks on pilots and improve the safety of their crew, aircraft, and passengers. Iridian is pleased to offer this solution.
Iridian’s LaseReflect technology, employing multi-layer dielectric thin-film coatings, provides high transmittance with deep, narrow notches to maximize laser reflection while minimizing the impact on light levels and colour recognition for the remainder of the visible spectral region. LaseReflect Aviator LRG13 are designed to provide >99% reflection of the most commonly used Green (532 nm) laser pointer with additional reflection of the potentially hazardous, high power near-IR (NIR, 1064 nm) band that is often present as well. These glasses are designed to reduce glare over a field of view for angles of incidence of 0º to 20º, are manufactured on high clarity glass, and are available for purchase online.
High transmission between the reflected bands, including in the NIR, allows these glasses to be used in low-light conditions and they can be compatible with night-vision systems. These glasses have been refined by extensive testing in a wide range of cockpits and by use in night flights to ensure minimal impact on invisibility of instruments and exterior lighting.
