High Rep Rate Amplified Few-cycle Pulses!

Laser Quantum venteon OPCPA ultrafast laser amplifierThe venteon OPCPA represents the next generation of ultrafast laser amplifiers. It is an innovative, scalable and easy to operate laser amplifier that produces a train of light pulses at repetition rates up to 4 MHz, energies in excess of 15 µJ and ultra-broadband spectrum offering few-cycle pulses <8 fs. The OPCPA is a single-pass amplifier using an ultra-broadband gain process which avoids any gain narrowing and supports the full few-cycle bandwidth of the venteon laser systems, allowing high repetition rates.

As the first complete commercial OPCPA system worldwide, it is packed full of features! These include; CEPLoQTM technology, automatic delay stabilisation, active beam pointing stabilisation for long-term measurements and microjoule pulse energy at MHz repetition rate. The venteon OPCPA is an exceptional instrument for High Harmonic Generation and XUV spectroscopy. Correlation measurements benefits from the high repetition rate, so that data acquisition times can be reduced dramatically from several hours (with a 1 kHz amplifier) to only a few minutes with the venteon OPCPA. This also allows the study of unlikely events, as well as XUV spectroscopy, structure analysis and imaging techniques. Another major application area is surface science, where two-photon photo-emission (2PPE) is one of the main techniques used to study the time-dependent interplay between electron, spin and phonon dynamics, as well as to study chemical reactivity at surfaces in real time.

As the only fully integrated ultrafast amplifier on the market that combines few-cycle pulse duration <8 fs, µJ level energy and a high repetition rate of hundreds of kilohertz to several megahertz, it is a unique light source ideally suited for applications benefiting from high photon flux, high intensity, broad bandwidth and ultrashort pulse duration. It has excellent output stability < 1% and is optionally available with a low noise CEP-stabilised output.
