For 50 years Exciton has excelled in the design and production of high purity and high performance dyes. Our expertise includes narrow-band visible and infrared absorber dyes for optical filters, fluorescent and the closely-related laser dyes.

We are proud to announce the opening of our new laboratory in Columbus, Ohio. Since early 2017 Exciton has been part of Luxottica, the leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of fashion, luxury, and sports eyewear.

Exciton Laser Dyes

LASER DYES: Dye lasers provide the required combination of power, pulse length, wavelength and reliability required for many applications from materials research to medicine. Our products are in research laboratories and medical offices all around the world.

Exciton Fluorescent Dyes

: Highly efficient ultraviolet, visible and near infrared dyes support technologies from machine vision to security inks. Such dyes can be optimized for specific wavelengths, chemical and process compatibility, and quantum yield.

Exciton Narrowband Absorbing Dyes

NARROW BAND AND INFRARED ABSORBING DYES: With applications from light filters for cameras and other digital sensors through selective absorption of light for enhanced vision and laser protection, our non-fluorescent dyes are incorporated into products that are sold globally.
