The Optical Engineering Experts®
Optikos designs and manufactures metrology products for measuring and assuring optical image quality; and provides optical engineering design, development, and manufacturing services for clients in most every industry or application. The Optikos® metrology product line offers complete solutions for both component and system level tests from the ultraviolet to the far infrared; and IQ Lab™ testing and image quality assessment services performed at Optikos are available to clients worldwide as a fast and flexible option for expert testing and assessment.
Camera Testing
The Meridian® family of high-speed optical test equipment answers the need for high quality imaging performance in demanding applications such as automotive safety systems. The Meridian Starfield product line was developed for high volume testing in which multiple field points are illuminated simultaneously and imaging performance is assessed in just a single video frame. The Meridian Focusing Target Projector (FTP) suite allows apparent object distances of reference targets to be set on demand; and the more recently developed Meridian FLEX is a highly configurable testing platform that provides camera manufacturers and integrators with a powerful tool to meet their testing needs in demanding applications.
Lens Testing
Our advanced lens testing products include the OpTest® Lens Measurement System with a complete range of hardware options, including Afocal, Finite Conjugate, and Thermal (temperature testing) Modules; and OpTest® 7 software for expert analysis.
The LensCheck™ Instrument is a compact, easy-to-use, and flexible system for testing smaller lenses up to 50mm. It includes the advantages of OpTest® 7 software as well as accessories that include the Thermal Module, Adjustable and Finite Conjugate instruments, Stray Light Kit, Reflective Collimator, Transmission Kit, Rotary Lens Mount, and our new Small Format Finite Conjugate Instrument and LensCheck Enclosure option.
Ophthalmic Testing
The Optikos® Surface Measurement Instrument (SMI) is a high-speed surface topography instrument that may be configured to measure such items as contact lens molds, micro-optics, and ball lenses. The SMI characterizes spherical, toric, and aspheric surfaces and measures surface shape deviations of precision surfaces using wavefront analysis technology.
