New infrared light-emitting diode (IRLED) features a peak emission of 880 nm with an extremely wide angle of emission, making it ideal for covert aircraft lighting or covert anti-collision aircraft lighting. The OD-669, a high-power GaAlAs IRLED, is available in a convenient TO-66 package for heatsink attach. Designed with nine chips connected in series and housed in an electrically isolated case.
