AUBURN, Mass., Sept. 3, 2021 — Digital Piezo ControllerThe E-709 compact digital piezo servo controller and integrated driver from PI (Physik Instrumente) LP provides closed-loop position feedback and high-voltage amplification in a compact package.

With a 20-kHz sampling rate, the device features high-performance linearization, high-speed tracking, and the “Fast Focus & Freeze” capability. When used with a fast objective focusing motor, the autofocus drive can be switched from an external sensor to the integrated position sensor inside the focusing stage, allowing for calibrated, precise, and highly stable motions on a nm scale.

The device is designed for applications that require high-performance motion with nm-precision such as semiconductor surface metrology, autofocus systems, medical apparatus, laser-beam steering, 3D imaging, and multiphoton and confocal microscopy.
