Physik Instrumente Acquires Majority of ACS Motion Control

Jan 2017AUBURN, Mass., Jan. 31, 2017 — Physik Intrumente (PI) LP has acquired 80 percent of Israel-based ACS Motions Control Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of controllers and drives for multi-axis systems.
ACS will be independent within PI, with its management remaining as is. With the acquisition, the company aims to better serve industrial customers with complete tailored systems that can be easily integrated into a wide variety of automation environments.
PI is a manufacturer of precision motion control equipment, piezo motors, air bearing stages and hexapod parallel-kinematics in semiconductor applications, photonics, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and medical engineering. ACS Motion Control is a provider of high-end multi-axis motion control systems.
