Large Flat Manufacture, Coating & Metrology

Photonics MarketplacePrecision Optical specializes in the high-volume production of large optical flats, windows, and mirrors. We manufacture flat sizes up to 750mm (diameter or diagonal). We also provide in-house coatings up to 480mm and turn-key solutions for the coating of larger flats through our partnerships with strategic suppliers.

We achieve very high levels of precision with very low levels of uncertainty in measurement. We combine state-of-the-art interferometry, custom-built tooling and support fixturing, with appropriate environment and testing protocols.

We achieve surface forms below lambda/40, surface finish for high laser damage applications, parallel tolerances to sub arc second, and spoiled wedge angle tolerances to sub 5 arc seconds.
