Prior Scientific Inc. has announced the HF110A/32 fast filter wheel for fluorescence microscopy.

The device holds 10 32-mm diameter filters and fits to the excitation ports of Leica, Nikon, Olympus and Zeiss microscopes, among others. The wheel offers the quick and precise change of a sample’s wavelength light exposure. It takes less than 95 ms to move between adjacent positions on the filter wheel, enabling the quick altering of fluorophore.

It is also possible to mount the wheel on the emission port of most microscopes. Magnetic covers allow quick and easy filter changes.
