Cube type polarizers consist of two prisms cemented together to form a solid cube. The entrance and exit faces are coated with an antireflection coating to reduce surface reflections.

Cube Polarizers split a randomly polarized beam into two orthogonal linearly polarized components. >99.5% of the S-polarized light is reflected at 90 degrees and the >95% of the P-polarized light is transmitted.
