Silicon lenses are normally used in the 2 to 7 µm range, its high thermal conductivity and low weight are critical features for both IR and FTIR systems. Si windows can be used as high reflectivity mirror for lasers and IR viewports.

Hyperion provides 3 to 300 mm diameter Si lenses for collimating or focusing applications, with AR coating or DLC coating. Simulation coating curves available upon request.
