GJ04122 Quanta Image Sensor: Reliable Photon Counting at Room Temperature and Full Speed

The GJ04122 Quanta Image Sensor (QIS) is a stacked BSI CMOS image sensor with 2.2 x 2.2 micron pixels, and was designed to achieve reliable photon-counting sensitivity at room temperature, with industry-leading 0.35e- rms read noise, while operating at 40.7 MP resolution and 30 fps frame rate. The sensor utilizes in-pixel dual-gain readout to achieve a single-exposure dynamic range of 95dB.
