Is phosphorescence, fluorescence, and photoluminescence hindering your Raman analysis? The Timegate PicoRaman is the world’s first integrated time-gated Raman spectrometer with real fluorescence rejection. It uses a patented combination of a sub-nanosecond (100 ps) laser excitation source and time-gated single photon counting array detector. The prompt Raman signal is acquired before significant fluorescence occurs. This also enables the acquisition of time-resolved fluoresce spectra by sequentially sampling the emission pulses at different temporal positions. This approach opens up two simultaneous windows for material characterization and gives valuable new information in several different application fields.
The Timegated PicoRaman enables successful Raman analysis in subjects such as biology and geoscience where previously, the fluorescence emission hindered proper analysis. You can also increase product yields in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, identify polymorphs of pharmaceutical solids, and identify mineral components in ores for mining applications.
