The aperture diaphragm is precisely selected for endoscopes in order to optimise the brightness of the image and the depth of field.
The exposed lens has a smaller F-number and at the same time a larger working distance range can be viewed in focus than with smaller apertures.
How is this possible?
Thanks to the integrated focusing: the surgeon simply focuses at the working distance at which they want to view the object.
The application is laparoscopy with an optical channel diameter of 5.0 mm.
