Spectrolight produces wavelength filtering devices that act as superior replacements for monochromators. These compact Flexible Wavelength Selectors combine the precision wavelength scanning and adjustable bandwidth of a monochromator with the uniform circular aperture characteristics of bandpass filters and filter wheels. They are ideal for applications such as fluorescence microscopy, hyperspectral imaging, and machine vision. Flexible Wavelength Selectors can also be used with a broadband light source, such as Spectrolight's Mighty Light, to create a broadly tunable illumination source with user-adjustable bandwidth. Circular apertures as large as 10 mm diameter make the Flexible Wavelength Selector compatible with many popular CCD and CMOS cameras. Flexible Wavelength Selectors are based on based on the company's patented TwinFilm
TM technology.

The Mighty Light is a compact broadband light source based on a 2-W tungsten halogen lamp. Modular bolt-on accessories provide a variety of output coupling options. These enable simple collimation or integration into a microscope, a fiber, or light guide. The Mighty Light bolts directly to any Flexible Wavelength Selector to provide tunable monochromatic illumination.

Unique optomechanical products include the
Light Aligner, a pocket gadget that simplifies alignment of an optomechanical system based on a breadboard or optical table. This is an optical ruler with precision pinholes and fiducials that simplifies the common problem of setting and checking the height of a laser or other light beam.
The Ruler Post is a replacement for conventional posts; engraved and anodized fiducial marks provide clear visual indication of the relative height of each optic mounted using this post. The Ruler Post is supplied with a clever but simple base clamp that allows the post to be securely fastened anywhere on a breadboard, not just directly over a mounting hole.
