Uncooled Thermal Imaging EngineThe Vinden 75 uncooled thermal imaging engine from Sierra-Olympic Technologies Inc. utilizes an LWIR vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer sensor and zoom optics to offer high imaging performance.

The small camera engine offers a 5× continuous zoom lens with equivalent focal length from 15 to 75 mm, a 640- × 480-pixel resolution and 12-µm pixel pitch, a 60-Hz frame rate for onboard recording, and 32 GB of memory, snapshot, and video. The camera control is achieved via Ethernet or RS422/RS232.

Video outputs supported are analog video NTSC/PAL, 16-bit digital via Camera Link, and compressed IP video, H.264/MJPEG. The system features an advanced vision processor supporting video enhancement algorithms such as local area processing, balanced histogram equalization, image sharpening, and image de-noise with registration.
