These are more suited for industrial, commercial, scientific and for less optically demanding applications. The quality of the surfaces of these materials, has greatly improved over the years as technology has advanced to produce highly transparent polished surfaces. Excellent flatness and parallelism but economical enough for commercial and precision applications in a range of edge finishes.
