Siskiyou Corp. has expanded its range of adjustable optical mounts, which are compatible with their unique, low-distortion optics clip.
The IXF.75 flexure series and IM.75 series of kinematic mounts for 0.75-in.-diameter optics are now supplied with this feature. The patent-pending Siskiyou optics clip is specifically designed to securely hold high flatness components in optical mounts without significantly degrading their wavefront performance. In contrast, traditional means for holding optics in mounts, such as set screws, or even permanent adhesives, introduce substantial mechanical stress, thus warping the high-performance component out of its original shape.
The unique retaining clip also prevents lateral movement of the part, which is important for radiused components because a position change can affect beam alignment.
