Ion Laser The Lexel Quantum SHG ion laser from Lexel Laser produces continuous wave, deep UV output at 229, 244 or 257 nm.

An active resonator temperature stabilizer provides rapid warmup and superior long-term stability. The laser’s output is virtually circular, enabling beam focusing down to 5 μm. When used in combination with the company’s QuickSwitch technology, it can rapidly switch between deep UV and multiple visible wavelengths from 457 to 514 nm. The system is controlled and accessed by a graphical user interface (GUI) and an iController with multiple embedded ARM 32-bit processors. The remote control is a USB-connected touchscreen interface featuring light and current control, digital/analogue power readout and automatic changes from deep UV output readings to visible output readings and water flow.

Applications include Raman spectroscopy, planar lightwave circuit manufacturing, semiconductor wafer testing and photolithography.
