Igor R. Efimov, Ph.D., is professor of biomedical engineering and medicine at Northwestern University. He is director of the Cardiovascular Engineering Laboratory, which focuses on the investigation of the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease, optical imaging of the heart, and the development of novel therapies.
