Optical fiber switches are the perfect solution to analyze different light sources with only one spectrometer. By utilizing multiple channels of the detector system at the same time, the light quality remains high while costs are low. Controlled by piezoelectric actuators light can be switched within milliseconds, while the insertion loss is around 1 dB. The fiber switches can be equipped with fiber core diameters from 50 µm up to 600 µm.
