Masdar Institute of Science and Technology

Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi is a research-driven graduate institution developed with the support and cooperation of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Masdar Institute has a two-year Master of Science and is launching the PhD programs, open to applicants from all countries, with full financial support for all admitted students. The faculty of the Microsystems Engineering program pursues research in various areas of photonic and electronic devices and circuits. The photonic research topics include integrated photonics circuits, silicon photonics, III-V photonics, fiber optical sensors, chalcogenide glass devices, electronic-photonic integration, solar cells, and tunable lasers.
