de Broglie wavelength

The concept of the de Broglie wavelength exploits the wave-particle duality of quantum physics by associating all matter (of all sizes) with wavelike properties. The de Broglie wavelength states that a particle in motion has a wavelength that is inversely proportional to the momentum of that particle. Thus by decreasing the mass or overall momentum of a moving particle, one can further observe and utilize its wave characteristics.
