nonspectral color

A color whose hue is not produced by a single wavelength in the visible spectrum, but is instead produced by mixing the longest (red) and shortest (blue) wavelengths of the spectrum such as any variation of a purple or pink, or by mixing any gray-scale color (such as white, gray and black) with a spectral or nonspectral color (such as purple or pink).
