trochoidal mass spectrometer

A magnetic-deflection mass spectrometer that has an electrostatic field placed perpendicularly to its magnetic field, permitting both spatial mass dispersion and perfect double focusing in the plane normal to the magnetic field, by trochoidal ion trajectories.
