After consideration of all the factors, we believe the only way to successfully serve the AutoSens community of engineers and scientists in 2020 is to take both the Brussels and Detroit events fully online.

Doing what’s right for the community is at the heart of our business plan. In fact, our own company’s needs are right at the bottom of the list of priorities – we don’t exist without our community, so our decision-making is based on doing what’s right to support your objectives. We love conferences, we thrive on face-to-face interactions, but now is not the time to focus on those emotional needs.

This year the Brussels edition of AutoSens will be held online, through our fully interactive event platform. You can expect the same quality of discussion concerning the future of vehicle perception technology, alongside interactive sessions, technical tutorials and networking opportunities, all from the safety of your home or work-space.

The Brussels edition will take place over four weeks, with the main presentations being scheduled for September 14-17 and October 13-15, and tutorials taking place in between.

Key topics for 2020 include AI and big data, simulating driver assistance systems, compute challenges, sensor fusion, in-cabin monitoring, and developments in RADAR, lidar and standardization and safety of cameras. Attendees will appreciate how verification challenges are being addressed in mass production and how continuous development is becoming more important and achievable. The conference will feature technical presentations from experts at ON Semiconductor, BMW, Porsche Engineering, MIT, EPFL, Argo AI and more.
