LaserNetUS is a consortium of high power laser facilities around the U.S. that have been funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Fusion Energy Sciences to dedicate a fraction of their operational time to open-access experiments using the largest lasers in North America – located at DOE National Labs (LLNL, SLAC, LBNL, LLE), universities (UT Austin, UNL, UCF, OSU) and even in Canada at the INRS. LaserNetUS experiment time is awarded in a competitive proposal process and is granted free of charge to successful applicants. LaserNetUS aims to build professional communities and collaboration networks of researchers who could benefit from the use of high power lasers. In our upcoming call for proposals, expected with an application due date in Dec. 2022, we are especially interested in supporting a greater number of researchers in medicine, biology, materials science, and private industry. We welcome industry applicants from the Photonics community. If this sounds interesting, learn more by attending our upcoming community-led information session. This workshop will introduce LaserNetUS and then set you up with resources on how to best put together your application to maximize your chances of being awarded experiment time on our world-class high power laser facilities. Last year we had about one hundred people attend this event. The information session will be held virtually on Wednesday, October 26, from 10 am - 12 pm PDT. Registration is required in advance on Eventbrite:
