The Loctite 7703 handheld LED light source announced by Henkel Corp. immediately cures Loctite 3552 and 3553 adhesives safely and efficiently. The 9 × 1 × 3/4-in. system delivers visible light irradiance of up to 2 W/cm2. The LED point light source has an extended tip that cures up to 1/4-in.-square adhesive joints. Portable and mountable, the system can use rechargeable batteries or an AC adapter. It virtually eliminates substrate heating, emits no UV wavelengths, requires no specialized protective equipment to ensure worker safety and offers remote on/off capability.
