Founded in 1957, RMI designs and manufactures precision optics and coatings. Our technical expertise include laser optics from DUV to Far IR; IR optics including high output diamond turning; and custom optical assemblies. We have proven experience in solutions for aerospace/defense, life science, medical, semiconductor, industrial, and research markets.

PPD provides custom laser optics, assemblies, and IBS coatings for prototype, research, and OEM applications. PPDs precision fabrication, dielectric thin-film coatings, and epoxy-free assembly processes enable total optics solutions. Products include PBS cubes, high power laser mirrors, super-polished lenses, prisms, polarizers, and Brewster windows.

Extensive suite of application-focused instrumentation for life sciences and materials research and production covers the full range of metrology techniques, sample sizes, and imaging resolutions. Technologies include AFMs, NanoIR spectrometers, fluorescence microscopes, stylus and optical profilers, mechanical testers, and nano-indenters.
