Hyperion Optics offers custom optical solutions from UV-VIS-IR with optomechanical engineering expertise. We are known for our DFM-driven approach and flexibility for R&D projects. Our capabilities include precision diamond turning, conventional polishing, custom coatings, and precision assembly backed by metrology.

MKS/Newport designs and manufactures high performance optical filters and replicated mirrors in the UV, VIS, and NIR. Filters include bandpass, dichroic, edge, fluorescence, neutral density, and notch filters, as well as optomechanical and electro-optical assemblies based on filter technology. Mirrors include retroreflector, aspheric, and spherical.

Manufactures catalog and custom/OEM optical components and assemblies including microscope objectives, motorized zoom beam expanders, high-resolution diffraction-limited lenses, telecentric scanning, focusing and imaging lenses, wave plates, polarizers; also mounting hardware, optical coatings, and lens design services for UV to CO2 wavelengths.

Custom manufacturer of precision flat-surfaced, parallel, and wedged optics specializing in double-sided polishing for transmitted wavefront and parallelism. Products include optical and IR windows, glass wafers, color glass filters, mirrors, wedges, plate beamsplitters, and witness samples. ITAR registered, ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Manufacturer of custom blanks. Products include fused quartz and silica, optical and filter glasses, and low/ultralow expansion glasses. Capabilities include annealing, slumping, sawing, grinding, edging, drilling, waterjet cutting, and CNC shaping and generating.

Importer and distributor of photonics components and subsystems for use in instrumentation. Products include photomultiplier tubes, solid-state photodetectors, IR detectors, image sensors, scientific cameras, light sources, and x-ray solutions.

Manufacturer of UV curing optical adhesives that meet Telcordia (Bellcore) specification of 85 degrees Celsius/85% relative humidity for 2000 hours, UV light sources, and fiber optic splicing systems.

Manufactures precision optical glasses: strip/slab, blanks, fine gobs, polished ball lenses, near-UV transmitting i-Line glass, ceramic substrates, CaF2, UV/IR materials, quartz, fused silica (std./excimer grade). Ohara CCZ ultralow expansion (excellent CTE; large size). Nanoceram. Double-side polished substrates (low surface roughness, excellent flatness).
