Provides optical engineering services for all product development phases including specification, conceptual through detailed optical design, system analysis, tolerancing, customer and vendor interfacing, ghost and stray light analysis, illumination design and modeling, radiometry and contamination control. Develops optical engineering software.

Advanced Optics manufactures custom optics, precision optics, as well as off-the-shelf optical mirrors, optical windows, optical flats, optical filters, and optical lenses from prototype to production. We carry a wide range of substrates in-house, precision polish up to lambda/20 and provide custom fabrication and coatings.

MKS/Newport designs and manufactures high performance optical filters and replicated mirrors in the UV, VIS, and NIR. Filters include bandpass, dichroic, edge, fluorescence, neutral density, and notch filters, as well as optomechanical and electro-optical assemblies based on filter technology. Mirrors include retroreflector, aspheric, and spherical.

Custom optics, such as spherical lenses, dome lenses, prisms, windows, filters, cylindrical lenses, aspherical lenses, mirrors, beamsplitters, optical assemblies. Also custom lens design and optical systems design.

Manufacture and research of high performance dyes. Our expertise includes narrow-band visible and infrared absorber dyes for optical filters, as well as fluorescent, and the closely-related laser dyes. Since early 2017 Exciton has been part of Luxottica, a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of fashion, luxury, and sports eyewear.

Manufactures standard and custom polarization control components and systems including polarizers, retarders, LC devices, Pockels cells, polarimeters, and SLMs. Applications are in optogenetics, aerospace, defense, medical imaging and analysis, data storage, polarimetry, semiconductor inspection and processing, astronomy, and more.

Precision optical filters since 1969, from UV to NIR. We specialize in custom filters from prototype to OEM quantities. Fluorescence, astronomy, and overrun filters in stock. Manufactures precision devices for scientific research and industrial OEM. Products include optical beam combiners, high-power LED, xenon light sources, high-speed wavelength switchers and shutters, multi-photon microscopes, translation systems, motorized stages, manipulators, electrophysiology amplifier systems, and micropipette pullers.
