Near-Infrared Cameras
An infrared camera, also known as a thermal imaging camera or IR camera, is an imaging device designed to capture images in the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum (700 - 2500 nm). Near-infrared cameras are equipped with sensors that are sensitive to light within this wavelength range, allowing them to detect and record near-infrared radiation.

Glossary
camera
A light-tight box that receives light from an object or scene and focuses it to form an image on a light-sensitive material or a detector. The camera generally contains a lens of variable aperture and a shutter of variable speed to precisely control...
near-infrared
The shortest wavelengths of the infrared region, nominally 0.75 to 3 µm.
infrared camera
An infrared camera, also known as a thermal imaging camera or IR camera, is a device that captures and visualizes the infrared radiation emitted by objects, revealing temperature variations across surfaces. Unlike conventional cameras that capture...
