Y1000L Y1000L

Yelo’s Y1000L laser diode test system is capable of burn-in and life-testing low power laser diodes up to 1A. These are commonly used in the telecommunications industry in SFP+ and QSFP+ modules. Module reliability can be improved by detecting and removing defective laser diodes early in manufacturing.

2014 OFC

A Dynamic Global Gathering

Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC) is the largest global conference and exposition for optical communications and networking professionals. For more than 39 years industry professionals from all corners of the globe have attended to meet and greet, teach and learn, make connections, and move business forward.

The event offers key networking and partnering opportunities, and provides insights and inspiration on the major trends and technology advances affecting the industry. From technical presentations to the latest market trends and predictions, OFC is a one-stop shop.

OFC attracts the biggest names in the field, including Mattias Fridstrom of TeliaSonera, Peter Ossieur of the Tyndall National Institute, Ian Giles of Phoenix Photonics, Yasuhiko Aoki of Fujitsu Laboratories, Moshe Nazarathy of Technion/Israel Institute of Technology, and Young-Kai Chen of Bell Labs/Alcatel Lucent. They are among many scheduled to speak on a variety of issues, such as optical networking applications, engineering silicon photonics solutions, and plastic optical fibers for sensing applications.

Hot topics for 2014 include cloud and data center networking, bandwidth exhaust (space division multiplexing), 100g/400g network design and optimization, 1tb and beyond optical networking, wavelength agile access networks, virtualization and software defined networks (sdn), high-speed photonic integration for coherent detection, silicon photonics and integrated photonics.

Get the latest technology and product information at OFC: optical networking, gigabit Ethernet, SDN and networks, test and measurement, optical packets, optical interconnects/switches, 100gb/s hardware, WDM, switches, ROADMs, VCSEL, transport, spatial division multiplexing, integrated photonics, FTTX, and more.

Each year, more than 12,000 people attend OFC, representing over 65 countries. There are 550+ booths featured, as well as hundreds of technical presentations, courses and workshops. This year, subjects include Fiber Optic Measurements and Component Testing, Passive Optical Networks (PONs) Technologies, High-Speed Semiconductor Lasers and Modulators, and Silicon Microphotonics: Technology Elements and the Roadmap to Implementation.
