About This Webinar

This webinar will help you develop a plan for your machine vision system that will ensure reliability, repeatability, standardization, and quality on the factory floor. It will discuss traditional versus deep learning systems, and when to use deep learning techniques. You will learn what to focus on when you have limited time to evaluate a system; how and when to choose a system integrator; how to quantify performance during testing; and how to build flexibility and adaptability into your system so it will serve you well for years to come. Presenter Tom Brennan, president of Artemis Vision, will also briefly discuss trends in machine vision, such as 3D imaging and embedded vision, and how to incorporate these new developments in machine vision into your system design.

The machine vision industry begins the new decade on the heels of tremendous growth and change. This webinar will provide you with the practical information and guidance you need to successfully start planning your machine vision goals for 2020 and beyond.

About the presenter:
Tom Brennan is president and founder of Artemis Vision, which builds vision systems for automated inspection and quality control. An AIA Advanced Level Certified Vision Professional, he has worked in the industrial machine vision and imaging processing software market for the past 10 years and has delivered numerous industrial machine vision systems around the world for industries from medical to automotive to defense. Brennan got his start in the vision industry designing machine vision vehicle detection algorithms as a research effort for the DARPA Urban Challenge. He holds a BSE in computer science from Princeton University.

Who should attend:
Systems engineers, technical professionals, and managers involved in industrial automation, plant management, and/or quality control and assurance, from all industries including automotive, construction, energy, food and beverage, medical/pharmaceutical, general manufacturing, and aerospace and defense. Anyone who is interested in technology trends such as deep learning and newer vision system architectures utilizing 3D and other technologies.

This webinar is sponsored by Teledyne DALSA, Euresys SA, Allied Vision Technologies GmbH, and IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH.
