Multispectral Imaging and the Mona Lisa

From space exploration to food production, multispectral imaging is being used in a variety of industries, including a famous painting. Using a technique, which reflects elements of multispectral imaging, a French scientist is able to distinguish details between the various layers of paint and reconstruct what he thinks is the real painting underneath, what he calls ‘the real Lisa’.
