The MidOpt BP470 Blue Bandpass Filter enhances the viewing of subjects illuminated by blue LED lighting and any ultraviolet (UV)-excited blue fluorescence emissions (430-500nm). Its broad bandwidth and high peak (T ≥90%) transmission results in significantly brighter, higher contrast images. For most machine vision UV fluorescence applications, use of a BP470 filter is absolutely necessary. The StablEDGE design prevents unwanted interference from lighting employed for UV excitation (365-405nm), even when the filter is used with short focal length, wide angle lenses. The BP470 is also frequently used in 3D measurement applications. MidOpt Bandpass Filters have a broad, Gaussian passband to mimic and accommodate the entire output of the most common LED wavelengths, are double-side polished for exceptional parallelism and optical flatness and are anti-reflection (AR) coated to limit glare and minimize reflection loss.
