Automatic Timing and Controls (ATC) has announced an addition to its fiber optic sensor family. Designed for small-object detection at long distances, the 7087 is a fiber optic amplifier with a backlit digital LCD that provides an eight-step automatic gain control. It operates at temperatures from -25 to 55 °C and features push-button auto-teach, adjustable threshold and NPN or PNP outputs at 100 mA. Other features include a red LED light source and programmable modulation selection for crosstalk protection.
