Imra America Inc. has introduced the FCPA-2 ultrafast all-fiber-based laser, which can reach the microjoule pulse energy range without need for a Ti:sapphire amplifier. It provides 200-fs, 2-µJ, 250-kHz pulses at 1050 nm, with other energy/repetition rate combinations available upon request. The device measures 80 x 40 x 15 cm and is air-cooled and ready for stand-alone use or OEM integration. The company says it is maintenance-free and designed for ease of use.
