Infineon Technologies AG has unveiled its development platform for the multitenant/multidwelling unit (MTU/MDU) market. Combining the company's 10BaseS and Ethernet switching technologies, the system comprises a board and software. The integrated AR2224 switch-on-a-chip provides the switching engine, supporting wire speed data traffic among the board's 10BaseS, fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet ports. Switch management software bundled with the development board offers system providers a complete development environment for MTU/MDU switches.
