The PAL/PRO laser source from Light Age Inc. has a spectral linewidth that the company says is more than an order of a magnitude narrower than any other broadly tunable pulsed laser source. It uses diode laser injection seeding and active cavity length matching technologies to provide SLM output with what Light Age calls unprecedented frequency stability and tuning precision. Applications include atmospheric research, UV interferometry, narrowband pumping of OPOs and other high-resolution spectroscopic techniques.
