High-performance scintillators supplied by Applied Scintillation Technologies Ltd. are suitable for a variety of scientific instrumentation detection applications. The company says that the Scintillize-FB, -VFG and -MG are ultrafast and provide low noise, excellent stability and good vacuum compatibility. The Scintillize-FB has high-light-output P47 phosphor on either float glass or nonbrowning glass substrates, and evaporated aluminum layers that dispel charge and that maximize scintillation light. Using an inorganic phosphor, the Scintillize-VFG is suitable for time-of-flight mass spectrometry, which requires low noise and response of <2 ns.
